KEY DATES

Friday 21 December – School closes for Christmas Holidays (Y1-3 @ 12.30pm & Y4-7 @ 1pm)

Thursday 3 January – Staff Development Day (staff only – school closed for pupils).

Friday 4 January – School reopens for children.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICES

Our Christmas Carol Service and Shows are listed below. Tickets are not required for our Carol Service in St Columba’s, however, as seating within the school Assembly Hall is limited, tickets for shows in school may be restricted to 2 per family. Letters went home to parents yesterday with details of how to purchase tickets.

Year 1 & LU Christmas Performances – Tuesday 11 & Thursday 13 December at 1.30pm

Year 2 & 3 Christmas Performance – Wednesday 12 December at 10.00am and 1.30pm

Year 4 – 7 Carol Service – Monday 17 December at 7.00pm (in St Columba’s Church, Omagh) – Our retiring offering at this service will be in support of Lee Mitchell’s attendance at the Special Olympics

PTA FUN DAY

Our PTA fun day will take place on Thursday 20 December. Santa will arrive at school and all children will have the opportunity to visit him. A huge thanks goes to our PTA for their work in preparing a memorable day for all our pupils.

REMINDER – Late Class Money

Please ensure that Late Class money is sent into the school office on a Friday for the following week. This helps both teachers and office staff and ensures the best use of administration time.

WRITTEN HOMEWORK

Written homework will finish on Thursday 6 December with Spelling and Reading finishing on Thursday 13 December.

CHRISTMAS DINNER

School Christmas Dinner will be served on Tuesday 18 December. If your child is not entitled to free meals and you want them to have dinner on this day you MUST send in the money (£2.60) on Monday 17 December.

Tuesday 18 December – Christmas Dinner

Wednesday 19 December – Fish, Tortilla Quiche, Cauliflower/Peas, Mashed Potato, Flakemeal biscuit

Friday 21 December – Fun Day Menu – Chicken Bites & Chips with Ice Lolly

YEAR 1 APPLICATIONS

Year 1 Application Forms for any Child aged 4 before 1 July 2019 are available online from 2 January 2019. The deadline for receipt of applications is 31 January 2019. Anyone requiring assistant with this process should contact the school office at the beginning of January.

SCHOOL CLOSURE DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER

Hopefully we will avoid extreme winter weather this year; however as usual, if in the unlikely event the school has to close I will notify parents via text message as well as through our Facebook Page, Website and the media. Please ensure we have your up to date mobile number.

PHOTOGRAPHS

All orders for photographs have been placed and it is hoped that these will be back in school for Friday 14 December.

USED STAMP COLLECTION

We are collecting used stamps to support people with Leprosy. Any used stamps may be placed in the collection box outside the main office. Thank you!

ONLINE PAYMENT FOR DINNERS

I have written to all parents regarding online payment for dinners and potentially starting Breakfast Club at 8am and running Late Class until 4pm. Please return the reply slips to school to help me ascertain if there is a need for any of these changes. Thank you!
