PTA Meeting – Our first PTA meeting for the year takes place on Monday 16 October at 7pm in the school Staff Room.  It would be great to have as many parents as possible involved in the PTA and I look forward to seeing you there.

Hallowe’en Disco – At our PTA meeting on Monday night we will be finalising the plans for our Annual Hallowe’en Disco which will be on Thursday 26 October.  Year 1-3 pupils should attend from 6-7pm while Year 4-7 pupils can come from 7.30-9pm

Poppy Appeal – As in previous years we will be supporting the Poppy Appeal.  The usual range of items will be on sale once we return from half-term.

Little Learners Event – This nursery rhyme theme event is taking place on Friday 20 October from 1.30 – 2.30pm and is open to all pre-school children from 2 – 4 years old.  Please email janderson025@c2kni.net to book your place.

School Correspondence via Email – We continue to send letters, newsletters and permission slips via email.  Please look out for these and respond as required.  If your email address changes throughout the year please inform the class teacher as soon as possible.

Charity Fundraising – This year instead of a large fundraising event we will be holding a non-uniform day on Thursday 19 October at a cost of £2 per pupil in support of St Columba’s Coat Appeal.  Rev Hare launched this in Assembly this morning.  Ideally any spare coats (children or adults) which are no longer being used should be sent into school on Thursday 19 October which will be passed on to St Columba’s Church who will distribute to those in need.

PTA Meeting & Hallowe’en Disco – this year we will be resuming our PTA fun activities.  This will begin with our Hallowe’en Disco on Thursday 26 October.  Year 1 – 3 children’s disco runs from 6.00 – 7.15pm and Year 4 -7 from 7.30 – 9.00pm.  Further details to follow via email.

School Photographs – This year all pupils will be taken individually on Thursday 26 October and with their siblings on Friday 27 October.

School Contact – You can contact school by coming into the school office, phoning us on 028 82 244552 or by emailing your child’s class teacher.

Pupils should use the Pupil Entrance at the side of the school.  If your child is upset, anxious or you need to speak to the class teacher, please use the main entrance and come to the school office.

Any parent using the front entrance MUST report to Reception.  It is not appropriate for parents to walk through the school without permission.

Car Park – It is essential that all drivers use our car park with care and consideration.

A One-Way System operates within our School Car Park with cars entering via the top entrance (next Arleston Road) and exit via the bottom entrance (next Leisure Centre).  Cars are NOT ALLOWED to use the Bus Lane (lane closest to the school) which is only for EA Buses and EA Taxis.

We have had cars travelling too quicky, using the bus lane and exiting via the wrong entrance recently.  This is putting pupil safety at risk and needs to stop!
