Monday 30 June                - Summer Term Ends – (12.30pm – Y1-3; 1.00pm – Y4-7)

Reports and End of Year Arrangements

End of Year Reports will be sent home on Wednesday 25 June.  Included with your child’s report will be information about their class teacher next year and important dates about when we return to school.  Next year’s holiday list is on the school website.

Summer Praise Evening

Thank you to everyone who supported our Praise Evening on Tuesday 3 June.  We are delighted to have raised £1515.45 for schools in Africa.  This money will be distributed to the churches in the coming weeks.

Sydney Gilfillan Memorial Football Tournament

In memory of our late Building Supervisor, Mr Sydney Gilfillan, we ran a football tournament at Omagh Leisure Centre today, Friday 6 June.  Sydney played a huge part at Gibson Primary School and was passionate about football.  This event was well supported with a large number of local schools participating.  Fittingly both boys and girls cups returned to Gibson.

Tom Sweeney

This year Tom Sweeney will be in school to entertain our pupils on Friday 27 June. This is always a hugely enjoyable morning for our pupils. More details will follow.

PTA Meeting

Our next PTA meeting is scheduled to take place on Monday 9 June at 7pm in the school staffroom. 

Our ‘School Fun Night’ is due to take place on Wednesday 25 June and promises to be fun filled evening.

PTA Summer Fun Night

Year 7 Leavers Assembly

Our Year 7 Leavers Assembly is scheduled for Friday 20 June at 12.00 noon.  During this celebration our Year 7 pupils will showcase some of their hidden talent!  Parents will be invited to enjoy the entertainment and stay for lunch.  Further details were sent by letter this week.

School Mobile Number and Busy Bees

Busy Bees Club will continue to run each afternoon from 3.00pm until 5.00pm up until the end of term. 

Having reviewed this provision with Governors on a termly basis I am pleased to be able to confirm that we will provide this club again next year.  Updates on when this will start in September and pricing etc. will be circulated before the end of June.

·         Year 1 – Tuesday 17 June (weather dependant) ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ in the Grange Park

·         Year 2 – Wednesday 18 June to Gortin Glens

·         Year 3 –Tuesday 3 June to Todds Leap

·         Year 4 – Thursday 12 June to Enniskillen Castle

·         Year 5 – Wednesday 11 June to OM Dark Sky Park & Observatory

·         Year 5/6B & Year 6 M –Tuesday 24 June to Tayto Factory

·         Year 7 – Thursday 26 June to The Jungle

New Intake Parent Meeting

A meeting for all new Year 1 parents will take place on Tuesday 10 June at 4.00pm in the Assembly Hall.  Please plan to attend as important information will be distributed.

Rugby & Hockey Tournaments

Our Rugby Team will be competing at Enniskillen on Friday 13 June.  Similarly, our hockey team will be competing at Omagh Hockey pitches on Monday 16 June.  Good luck to all involved.

Homework

Written homework will finish for the term next Friday, 13 June.
